Project Description
The Children’s Hospital Early Childhood Center is a new, 24,000 sf, one-story steel-framed structure on strip and pad footings with brick and storefront exterior. Adjacent to Children’s Hospital, the Early Childhood Center provides healthful and nurturing environments for children of the staff and employees of the Hospital, the University of Denver and the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority.
The Center features abundant daylighting, radiant in-floor heating, and direct access from each of its 19 classrooms to interactive landscaped outdoor play areas.
The Center is open to infants through preschool age, including those with special needs. It will accommodate up to 250 children.
