Kellstrom’s hiring was the culmination of a comprehensive search. Pinkard Hires Eric Kellstrom as Senior Superintendent 2025-05-21 Share Share Pinkard Construction is excited to announce the hiring of Eric Kellstrom as senior superintendent. Eric comes to Pinkard following a stellar field management career as a superintendent and senior superintendent for two large national construction companies who maintained a significant Denver-area presence. “We are ecstatic to add Eric’s great construction background and strong leadership skills to our field management team,” says Tom Alford, Pinkard’s chief operating officer. “Eric is a strong field performer with a proven history fostering relationships with subcontractors, clients, and fellow team members. He will be an important influence on our ability to move into new job markets and excel in providing quality, safety, and strong budget and schedule control to future projects.” With a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami (Ohio) University, Eric began his 25+-year career as a tract-home framer in Nebraska. Rapidly progressing into the role of resort-area custom home lead carpenter in Wyoming, he earned his master’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University. During his 17 years as a superintendent in the Denver metro area, Eric’s projects have ranged in size from $10 million to $600 million, covering a diverse group of projects from municipal, federal, high technology, and healthcare. As senior superintendent, Eric will be responsible for field management of large Pinkard projects, mentoring and career development of his younger coworkers, and will serve a strategic role in helping to win new work. Eric’s self-described strengths include an ability to build and maintain relationships, and collaboration with project teams to develop strong but flexible construction work plans. Problem solving, good communication, and creativity in the field are also important to Eric’s work style. “The more I looked into Pinkard’s reputation in the industry and its relationship-focused approach to construction, the more convinced I became that Pinkard and I would be a great fit,” says Kellstrom. “Pinkard is full of good people who are great business partners who take care of their clients and employees.” Kellstrom’s hiring was the culmination of a comprehensive search involving numerous qualified candidates and an in-depth cultural assessment to ensure a perfect fit for Eric and Pinkard. • STRIDE Community Health Offices | Pinkard Construction | Colorado

Pinkard provided expert construction services for STRIDE on the STRIDE Community Health Offices project. STRIDE Community Health Offices Denver, Colorado, USA STRIDE 21,767 Sq. Ft. Office, Healthcare, Medical Office Building, Renovation This 21,767-foot design-build project with MOA Architecture featured complete interior demolition (including demo of all existing interior MEP) to allow for complete office build-out including all new mechanical throughout the building – new ductwork, VAVs, fan-powered boxes, new hydronic system, routine testing and programming of RTU’s, new plumbing, electrical and light fixtures; break and conference rooms. Lots of open office areas with fan-coil units. Interior glass demising walls; barnwood beams above the main staircase and first floor breakroom. Porcelain tile in wet areas, ACT ceiling clouds throughout open office areas. This project centralized 125 STRIDE employees from 11 administrative teams into a centralized administrative building housing Human Resources, Patient Accounts, Call Center, Information Systems, Development, Operations administration, Finance, Strategy and Growth, Community Health, Compliance and Training and Development. The permitting process was (uncharacteristically) four-to-five months long. To work around this delay and keep the work moving, we were able to pull a demo and rough-in permit that allowed us to start work; to put-up walls and get MEP rough-ins, plus some drywall installation. Fire alarm systems and Denver Fire Department: There were two separate addresses at this one location, and both shared the alarm and sprinkler system with only one fire alarm panel. Final inspections required Pinkard and the design team to separate the fire alarm system, which would cause a significant delay. As a work-around, we met with fire marshal and got final sign-off without the mandated separation. The fire marshal required the other tenant to ultimately fund and implement the fire alarm system separation from STRIDE. Project finished on time with a minimal, owner-approved schedule extension. • Porcelain Brick Quality Challenges

Our biggest quality challenge was constructing the intricate, custom foliage patterning with the exterior porcelain brick. Porcelain Brick Quality Challenges 2022-03-14 Share Share On the Moorhead Recreation Center project, one of our biggest quality challenges was constructing the intricate, custom foliage patterning with the exterior porcelain brick. The brick is beautiful, but it tends to be very fragile. BRS's design came with an exact template showing where every brick should go. The challenge was to get the patterning exactly correct and not damage it. Ensuring Quality Brick Installation. To get the brick just right, JVS Masonry created half-scale mock-ups of a brick wall section, colored and numbered each brick location, then constructed the mock-ups under the watchful eyes of Pinkard, the City, and BRS. Once everyone agreed that the correct construction and quality approaches were understood and mastered, crews went to work on the real thing. In preparation for construction, JVS once again plotted the location and color of each brick. During construction, five different individuals took turns inspecting the installation every two hours. This result was near perfection. Everything line-up perfectly. Project Architect Jesse Sherr: “I think those guys did a great job with the porcelain brick. That material is probably one of the most challenging tasks and some of the best installed on that whole project.” As construction progressed under a very tight schedule, the team continued to face one demanding quality challenge after another. Construction Manager Blake Chambliss: “Pinkard had a tremendous number of quality/fit and finish responsibilities. We were working on a fast-paced schedule and at every turn, we encountered challenging details. The multi-purpose room ceiling clouds were a great example.” Learn More Recreation Construction See Projects Moorhead Recreation Center Learn More Share This Story Share Share More News Sort By Topic Reset Pinkard Completes Beautiful 1899 Wynkoop Amenity Remodel 2025-05-29 Learn More Pinkard Carpenter Named Apprentice of the Year 2025-05-19 Learn More Pinkard Hires Eric Kellstrom as Senior Superintendent 2025-05-21 Learn More Pinkard Guest Lecturers Kick Off Inaugural DU Affordable Housing Program 2025-04-30 Learn More Load More Our Approach Partner, Plan, BUILD. • Pinkard Construction Launches Pinkard Frameworks, Expands Self-Perform Wood Framing Division

Pinkard Construction has introduced Pinkard Frameworks, a wood framing division that aims to modernize the wood framing industry. Pinkard Construction Launches Pinkard Frameworks, Expands Self-Perform Wood Framing Division 2023-11-13 Share Share Pinkard Construction, a leading construction company in Colorado, is excited to announce the launch of Pinkard Frameworks, a wood framing division that will serve as a trade partner to developers and general contractors along the Colorado front range. Pinkard Frameworks will continue to self-perform wood framing for Pinkard Construction. According to Tony Burke, President of Pinkard Construction, "We are thrilled to offer Pinkard Frameworks as a separate division to our clients, developer partners, and fellow general contractors. We believe providing a dedicated and specialized team for wood framing projects will streamline the construction process and ensure the highest quality of work." The division is headed by Wood Framing Manager Dan Harris, who has over 40 years of experience in construction. Harris is actively recruiting staff and already has a dedicated project engineer and superintendent. Additionally, Pinkard Frameworks will have access to the resources of Pinkard Construction, which has over 120 construction professionals and over 60 years building multi-family projects, and over 50 wood-framed projects. Pinkard Frameworks aims to modernize the wood framing industry by offering detailed project assessments, identifying value-adds, and ensuring on-site supervision of the wood framing process. "We want to provide our clients with top-quality service that exceeds their expectations," says Harris. "We achieve this by collaborating with truss fabricators in preconstruction, ensuring framing designs that meet architectural and structural intent, seamless integration with other trades, and a budget-friendly, faster, and higher-quality project." Pinkard Frameworks provides preliminary truss design, in-house estimating, and shop drawing reviews to prevent conflicts and cascading issues that stop construction progress for redesigns. The division will ensure that an on-site framing superintendent is briefed throughout the design process and is a trained, experienced carpenter who manages all material and labor to the contract intent. Harris says Pinkard’s recent efforts on Krisana Affordable Housing created a framing design that saved the Owner over $250,000. He adds that Pinkard Frameworks is under contract to provide wood framing services for two other Pinkard projects, akin Tennyson in Denver and Willoughby Corner in Lafayette. "We are excited about the launch of Pinkard Frameworks and look forward to working with our clients to provide them with the best possible service," concludes Burke.
