Pinkard President Tony Burke says he sees an opportunity to nurture the next-generation workforce of the construction industry in Colorado and hopes that these scholarships provide enhanced access to all Colorado students.
“Last year, 17 Colorado companies and individuals provided generous sponsorships that made the tournament such a success,” said Burke. “This year, we hope to bring even more much-needed investment into the workforce of our future. Construction is experiencing an unprecedented labor shortage, so we are pleased to partner with organizations like ACE to help encourage students to pursue a rewarding career in construction.”
Brittani Johnson, Vice President of Development for ACE Colorado, said that ACE Scholarships is proud to be the beneficiary of Pinkard’s 4th Annual Careers in Construction Golf Tournament.
“By supporting the tournament, Pinkard Construction and all participating sponsors are providing hope and a bright future for students and our community,” said Johnson. “Our founders believed that success was possible, regardless of income, and that all children deserve equal access to quality education. And for 21 years, we have been working to fulfill that vision. By providing partial tuition scholarships for low-income students to attend the K-12 private school of their choice, ACE scholars are graduating high school, prepared for college and a fulfilling career.”
