Pinkard Construction is proud to be the title sponsor for the Colorado Real Estate Journal’s 2022 Affordable Housing Summit and Expo on April 12 at 7 am. With over 250 attendees anticipated, this is the largest affordable housing conference in Colorado.
Hosted at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center, there will be informative sessions, an exhibition hall, and plenty of networking. As THE Colorado leader in affordable housing, Pinkard draws on the expertise gained from more than 78 affordable housing projects across the Colorado Front Range. Most recently our VIDA at Sloan’s Lake project won the 1st place National Excellence in Construction award.
It all starts when Tony Burke, Pinkard’s President, opens the conference. He will kick off 4 hours of real estate continuing education credits provided through informative sessions that stretch on to 11:45. Tony has been with Pinkard for over 25 years and has valuable insight into the affordable housing construction process from funding to the grand opening.
You do not want to miss the cost control session at 10:45, moderated by Gary Dominguez, the Construction Manager for Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). Pinkard’s own Preconstruction Director, Mark Bokhoven, is on the panel. His construction estimating and cost control experience includes both renovations and ground-up projects with values up to $100M in affordable housing. Mark’s last two big projects, Vida at Sloan’s Lake and THRIVE had a zero and <1% (respective) variance between early Design Drawings and the final GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price).
