AURORA, COLO. — STRIDE Community Health Center (STRIDE) held an unveiling ceremony for their new mother’s suite, made possible by a $50,000 donation from Pinkard Construction. The project is specifically aimed to benefit nursing mothers working at the STRIDE Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, a project that was constructed by Pinkard in 2019.  The small reception adhered to COVID-19 safety protocols and featured remarks from both Ben Wiederholt, CEO of Stride Community Health Center, and Tony Burke, President of Pinkard Construction. Wiederholt and Burke reflected on the ongoing part Pinkard has played in advancing STRIDE’s mission to provide affordable primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting.   “Partnership is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but [with Pinkard] it is certainly more than your typical contractor/vendor relationship,” said Wiederholt. “It truly is about those common values of hard work and trying to do the right thing for the community as we build community and health together.”   Pinkard and STRIDE have worked together in the past. In addition to renovating STRIDE’s new 21,000 SF administrative headquarters last year, Pinkard completed the 8,000 SF renovation to the north Aurora clinic near Peoria and I-70.   “What’s common [between STRIDE and Pinkard] is that we take pleasure in doing the hard work... It’s just part of the identity of Pinkard and STRIDE,” said Tony Burke, President of Pinkard Construction. “Most of us know that, within many of our lives, our mothers are people that [also] fit that description.”  To date, Pinkard has completed over 41 healthcare projects and more than 243 renovations/expansions across the Colorado Front Range.   ###  Pinkard Construction Company specializes in supplying expert preconstruction and design support services for more than 58 years.
