Pinkard Construction Co. was founded by James W. Pinkard in 1962. A 30 year veteran of the Colorado construction industry, Pinkard had worked in every position throughout his tenure.
His new company was founded on the belief that working hard for your clients and striving for excellence was the right way to do business. As he put it, “The harder you work, the luckier you get.”
In the beginning, it was a family business. Pinkard’s wife, Victoria, designed the original logo and his kids worked weekends painting and setting up the offices and then summers manning the phones.
The first “fleet” of Pinkard trucks was a rag-tag bunch of second and third-hand trucks painted “Pinkard Pink” to unify them. We’re told the superintendents really loved driving those!
