In less than a year, Megan Zwart has shown herself to be a pinch hitter on the Pinkard roster.
When she’s not playing softball, golf, volleyball, soccer, tennis or pickleball, the former gym teacher-turned-Project Engineer always brings her A-game to completing shop drawings, tracking down change orders and closing out punch lists for her team.
A dependable player on and off the field, Megan’s adaptive and hardworking spirit makes her perfectly suited for the constantly-moving construction industry.
“I love the ever-changing work environment. Not one day looks the same,” she says. “Even though it sometimes seems like I’m drinking a firehose of information, I’m constantly learning new things and I love it.”
Megan also appreciates how Pinkard in particular looks out for its team members.
“Ever since I’ve started, I’ve felt that Pinkard is an employee-driven company,” she says. “They actually care about their employee’s wellness. It’s refreshing to be a part of a company like that.”
Megan’s advice to fellow females in her field: “Be yourself. Learn everything you can. Be confident. Fight for yourself. Know it’s OK to ask questions.”
