Pinkard Construction has just completed comprehensive preconstruction services for the City of Commerce City’s $13.8 million Buffalo Run Golf Course Clubhouse expansion.
The seven-month preconstruction effort included close collaboration with owner’s representative Wember, Inc and architect Z Design Group, focusing on keeping the project in budget while closely adhering to the existing architectural style and city design standards. Construction scope for this $13.8 million project will include a renovation / addition to the existing 11,500 sf clubhouse and will add 5,500 sf of additional space including a two-story addition with a rooftop terrace/deck area and bar. Other new clubhouse space will include an elevator, an IT room, lobby, and expanded dining space. Renovation scope includes a full gut and renovation of the commercial kitchen with associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades. Extensive utility re-routes and upgrades to new and existing buildings will require intensive collaboration with golf course operations to ensure pedestrian and vehicular safety while coordinating infrastructure upgrades. Other work includes various bathroom and office renovations and construction of a new maintenance storage building.
The golf course will remain fully operational during construction, but the clubhouse and restaurant will be closed. Pinkard is assisting Buffalo Run Golf Course with office and personnel relocations during construction. A food truck will provide dining services for golf course patrons during construction.
The original Buffalo Run Golf Course clubhouse was constructed in 1994 and was partially renovated in 2016. Pinkard was awarded the project in late July 2023. This is Pinkard’s second project with the City of Commerce City, having completed the $51.3 M Bison Ridge Recreation Center and 2nd Creek Infrastructure project in 2018.
