Alpine investments Partners, LLC has awarded their 46th and Tennyson Apartments mixed-use project to Pinkard Construction with architect Santulan Architecture. The project is 3-stories over a parking garage/retail space. Construction is anticipated to start in the final quarter of 2022.
Positioned as a “hip back door entrance to the Berkely neighborhood, akin Tennyson will offer a warm, welcoming experience that intertwines with local culture. The project will contain 8,500 square feet of service and restaurant retail and 84 upscale residential units with sought-after amenities, including a large, private rooftop activity space w/ sweeping mountain views and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
"Instead of focusing on the fact that we have completed almost 200 multi-family projects to date, we tried to zero in on what the client needed," said Mark Bokhoven, Director of Preconstruction for Pinkard. "I think our experience is evident in our approach, so I like to put our energy into building a relationship."
Bokhoven says Pinkard is currently collaborating with the architect on design development pricing, utilizing a "design-assist" approach that allows them to involve subcontractors early to get an accurate pricing picture.
